A rainy Thursday..

Since it poured for 3 days straight (it was ok because we needed the rain) Sean and I decided to break out the rain boots for school. I didn't wear mine all day but I think he did!

The State Fair

Checking out the baby chicks.

Aunt Alison came too!
Loving the rides!

Sean loves tractors!

Riding the helicopter with Daddy.

BFF's

Sean had his friend, Gracyn, over for dinner Sat. night. (and her parents too). Gracyn and Sean had the best time playing all evening. They play so well together and just have a lot of fun every time they are together. They used to go to the same baby sitter but now that Sean goes to a different school they don't see each other quite as often. We were glad to get them together for some play time!

A-B-C-D-H-9-10.....

Sean and I have been singing the alphabet everynight before bedtime for a long time now. He is starting to pick up on some of the letters but is still a little....confused! This is what he said today, "A-B-C-D-H-9-10.......ELMO-P" ha ha ha Elmo, p. I try to be very clear with my "L M N O P" but I guess he hasn't pick up on that yet. We'll keep working!

School.....again?

Sean is finally getting settled in at his new school. For two days now, when we are pulling out of the parking lot he says, "me go school...again?". Whew, I was starting to worry that he didn't like it when each morning he said, "Me no like school" "me no go school". Well, he seems to be very happy. We are really happy and he seems to be having a blast! Yay!

C A N D Y!

We hung around down in Carytown today and made a trip to the candy store, called "For the Love of Chocolate". It is the coolest. store. ever. It just had rows and rows of candy. Dan and I were pretty excited as well, as Sean comes by his sweet tooth naturally! We allowed Sean to pick out some candy and he was pretty happy!!
Look at his face, he is pretty excited!

YUM!!

Week Two

Dan and I had our first day of school and Sean is now on his second week of school. He seems to be doing well, despite his dramatic attempts to make me feel bad in the morning when I drop him off. He gets good notes home from his teacher and yesterday when we left he said, "bye friends" to his class. It was really cute! I do think he is adjusting to a few things and so the evenings have been a little rough lately. The first thing is, he is super clingy to me....I mean SUPER. So that can be frustrating to have him attached to my hip, but I think he is just missing me and wants to make up for our lost time during the day. The other thing that might be hard for him is nap time is short. He only gets a two hour nap at school and over the summer he was sleeping a minimum of three hours a day. So....I think he is a little cranky too. Tuesday morning was especially difficult for him as we had to wake him up and he is just simply not a morning person. He also doesn't like to eat right away and we are force feeding food down his throat (since he can't eat b-fast at school). Well, I finally lost my patience with him and said, "Ugh, you are being SO difficult!!". We moved on and finally got out the door, as I didn't want to be late on the first day of school! As we were walking out the door he looks at me and says, "mommy-me no difficult me, guy!" Oh geez. And yes, he pronounced difficult just perfectly. At the very least it made me smile during a stressful morning.

Sean update

Day #3 of the new preschool and all is well so far. Sean has not had any accidents at school and has even gotten to swim a few days there as well. We had his open house last night and his teacher spoke very highly of him, so...either she is a really nice person or he is being an angel at school! He is giving me a bit of a hard time leaving him in the a.m. but they said he stops crying pretty quickly. He has lots of tall tales to tell us about what he did at school, but overall he seems to be enjoying himself.
Potty training at home is great. He is trained. I hope I don't regret this post! We were both surprised at how quickly he was able to get the hang of things. Now, our new venture is figuring out how to move away from the treats everytime he uses the potty. (at least treats=fruit snacks)
Dan and I cannot believe it is only Wednesday. This working full time thing is tough! We truly enjoyed our summer and had a lot of fun. Now it is back to reality. We are looking forward to a 3 day weekend, which we will spend with my family in NC. Sean is looking forward to seeing 'Nama, Poppy, and Hanti Bliss and of course being spoiled as usual!
