Rocket Stomper

Sean wanted to try out his new toy so everyone braved the cold (except me!) and went outside to play. Looks like fun!

Christmas #3 in Charlottesville

We left NC and came home for a day to unload our car and settle in before heading back on the road to Charlottesville for our Christmas with the Rettig Family. We were met there by Dan's sisters and their husbands and had a great big family Christmas.

More presents?!?

Getting the hang of this presents every other day thing. . .

Yay! It is snowing! I had to get a pic!

Pretty excited about his new shovel.

Real excited about those sticky buns. No one is more excited than Mommy though!

My favorite!!

Checking out the "nose" AKA snow.

Time to play!

Carter and Poppi

Enough snow to sled!

Carter quickly joined in!

When they got to the bottom she'd say, "mo, mo, mo" (more)

Aunt JoAnn and the kids

Merry Christmas!

Christmas day for the Bliss family is a little different than many people but we love our traditions and they work for us. We all wake up whenever we want, and can open our stockings when we want (this was true as a child, also). Around 9 or 9:30 we all have a big breakfast together, pancakes provided by my grampa's special recipe. After we get everything cleaned up and get settled in present opening position, we then open gifts. It was really hard when I was a kid, but now I like spreading out the fun a little more. Here are some pics from our Christmas with the Bliss Family.
Got some cool stuff!

Carter got a new stocking, bigger than she is, and lots of books

She wasn't so sure of this big elephant at first.

Oh but now she loves it!

Giving Nama her present

Still lovin' on the elephant

Checking out another book

Snack time with Grampa

Christmas Eve in NC

Since we came a little early we woke up on Christmas eve and had the day to spend with our family. Some cookie decorating was in order as well as some playing with Auntie's dog, family pictures, church, exchange home made family gifts, and then a dinner made up of appetizers. It was a great and busy Christmas Eve!

Doesn't eveyone eat sugar cookies and frosting for breakfast?!?

Frosting.

Carter did more eating than frosting. . .
Sprinkles anyone!?
