Dinner playdate

Carter had a friend visit for the afternoon and we had panera take out for dinner. The kids had fun eating at the small table together.

Can never get all the kids to look at once!

Yep, you read correctly another snow day for us! Even though we didn't go anywhere we all dressed in green....but....I didn't get a picture of us in our green!

American's Funniest Home video laughs

The kids think that America's funniest videos is hilarious! Who doesn't!?!?

OH Carter. . . .

Half the time she looks like this? I mean could she be wearing ANY more accessories?!?
Then we find this. This poor snowman was made of marshmellows in JANUARY. He obviously fell victim to a hungry Carter this week. Oh geez. She even ate his pretzel hat.

Movie night in jeopardy....

As I've said before, Friday=pizza and movie night in this house. Friday afternoon was especially rough for Sean and Carter and by the time Daddy got home movie night was in jeopardy. So, what did Sean decide to do? Clean the living room AND vacuum all by himself. That boy really loves movie night!

Warm weather

When it is warm, we don't waste time inside, we get out to play! The kids did some scootering and biking around the culdesac. Carter is doing great on her bike and Sean is super fast on his scooter.

Carter: 1 Mommy: 0

Here is how this played out.

Carter: Mommy, can I dump out my bin of princesses?
Mommy: Sure, but when it is time for bed, you'll have to clean them up.
Carter: Ok
An hour of time passes.....

Mommy: OK Carter, time to clean up your princesses
Carter: I don't want to clean them up!
Mommy: You know if I clean them up then they are going to go away.
Carter: Ok, I want them to go away.
Mommy: I mean if I clean them up they go 'bye bye'
Carter: Bye bye princesses (and walks upstairs)

True story. (in my defense I did take them away from her but clearly that didn't upset her)

Later that night. Pure cuteness.

Mommy the Mystery Reader

I was lucky enough to get to be a mystery reader for Sean's kindergarten class. He had no idea I was coming that morning to read. I had a great time reading and talking with his super sweet class. What fun!

Ice Skating

Sean's best bud from school invited him to go ice skating, it was Sean's first time but he enjoyed it a lot! He stuck close to the walls and needed some help but overall he did a great job and had fun with friends.

Wacky Wednesday

Sean missed two days of school this week, and also two fun dress up days for Dr. Suess's birthday week. He did make back to school in time to celebrate Wacky Tacky Day which he took very seriously. He picked out his own outfit and finished it off with two different shoes on!

The perfect snow day!

Another snow day! YAY!
With so many snow days this winter we've spent a fair amount of time at home. Carter and Sean love each other but they start to get on each others nerves pretty quickly if we don't leave the house. So our first stop was the gym. Once Dan dug out our car we were able to drive through the frozen mess that was our neighborhood road. Once we got to the main road it was mostly clear. After the gym and some quick showers we headed to Panera for lunch which is our favorite lunch spot. Then it was off to the library to do some playing and reading. The kids came home and suited up to head back out into the snow for a good hour or so. To end this wonderful day we watched an 80's classic and favorite movie of Daddy's, ET. The kids loved it. Sean sat on the edge of his seat the whole movie. It was so cute watching him watching the movie for the first time. Then it was time for a little Frozen dance party for everyone. Then onto a great dinner and baths, story time (reading all our new library books) and then time for bed. Now, that was a perfect snow day! :o)

Loving ET!

Love it!!

Snow day #79

Ha ha, just kidding. We haven't had 79 snow days but we have had so many that I honestly lost count. Since Christmas break I believe we had had 3 full weeks of school with no closings or delays. That is a lot of snow days! We certainly are not complaining as we love spending the day at home, however, we are getting close to the make up day thresh-hold and honestly would be happy with a little spring like weather for a change!

Dan and I did appreciate that the kids are able to go outside by themselves and play. It was freezing today! Literally like in the 20's and the kids faces were bright red after about 30 minutes. They seem to have fun though as they went back out again in the afternoon. I braved the cold for a few minutes to snap the pictures but that was it.
rosy cheeks!

Today was like any other snow day, sleep in a little late, hang out in our PJ's, play in the snow (twice), have a yummy crock pot dinner and snuggle up together before bed! Plus-we have another snow day tomorrow! What a tough life!
