2 going on 5?

Sometimes I feel like Carter looks so grown up in pictures. Then later that day she'll come running to me and needing a kiss for her boo boo and I am reminded again that she is only 2! (her tantrums also help remind me also!)

Kitchen Makeover Part 1

 Before

 Here are the before and after pics. It was no easy feat and took a lot of hard work but we are pretty happy with how things turned out! Next up this summer: new counter tops, backsplash and stove! Can't wait!

Our Smart Sean

Sometimes he uses his new writing abilities for not so good reasons. This was a sign he posted on his fort.

Apparently we need to work on his middle name spelling!

Way to go Seanie!! It is only April of Kindergarten and we cannot wait to see how much you learn by the end of the year!

Hair twins!

I am so lucky that Carter actually allows me to fix her hair. Today we were hair "twins". We both had side fishtail braids, just like Elsa (from frozen). Her hair didn't come home looking like that but at least it started off cute!

Annual Egg Hunt at Nama's House (oh and Poppy's house too!)

 Here are we are running around like crazy people for eggs filled with candy and money! We all came out with a bag full of candy and money! Best egg hunt ever! We had to move it inside because of the bad weather but it turned out to be just as much fun at Poppy's radio station.  Yes, some pics shows the dead sprint we are running at to get the eggs first! Ha ha

Asheboro Zoo

The kids started out their spring break at Nana and Poppi's house (so that Dan and I could paint the kitchen cabinets) and they ended their spring break at Nama and Poppy's house. Whew what a week they have had! We visited the Asheboro Zoo on a chilly spring day and had a great time. Even though it was a little chilly we still were able to see a lot of great animals. PS. Yes that is Nama riding in a motorized scooter! Her arthritis in her knees makes walking long distances difficult. Boy did Sean enjoy scootering around all day with her!

Spring Break and Museum Fun

 Yay! It is spring break! Even though we hardly went to school all winter because of the weather we were still just excited to have a week off of school. While Daddy worked at home on the kitchen cabinets the kids and I along with Sean's buddy from school spent a day at the children's museum.

Easter Festival 2014

 

Mommy was out of town visiting a friend but that didn't stop the kids and Dan from having a good time at the Easter Festival at church.
