Christmas #3

Time to open up gifts again! The kids are really good at waking up every day and opening up presents! It was another successful Christmas for us! We are so lucky that we get to spend it with both of our families.

Christmas day Part 2

After we had lots of good family time in Richmond we packed up the van and hit the road for NC. Surpringly, there was more traffic than you would think on Christmas Day. We got tehre about 3pm to celebrate another Christmas Eve which includes another appetizer dinner and homemade gift exchange. It was another successful exchange where everyone got a really cool gift. Time for bed and then to wake up for Christmas #3!
On the Road to Nama's house!

Yes, shorts on Christmas day! It was sunny at 75!

If only Bokeh loved them as much they love her!

Sean's gift to Kevin, a wall mounted beer opener.

kevin made Jenn a jewelry holder

Jenn made mom a new scarf

Sean got a new quilt from Nama Star Wars version!

Dan made Carter homemade lip gloss

Carter made Dan a wall mounted beer opener (she is quite talented!)

Dad made me a "walker emergency quit" which equips me to handle any future zombies!

I made Dad a bunch of home made soups that are frozen and ready to eat for lunch

Merry Christmas! (Christmas #2 in Richmond)

Santa came! He brought just what the kids wanted. Sean asked for the BB8 Robot/Droid (from the new Star Wars movie) and Carter asked for a "barking, walking, pink dog" and she also got a new bike. We didn't start opening until about 7 am which I considered to be sleeping in given how early it could have been! Carter had to be pulled out of bed, but of course Sean had been waiting in his room. We didn't tell him not to come until 7 but that is the standard rule so he didn't wake us when he woke up at 5:50am. They got lots of fun toys and clothes and were very happy to play all morning. Then we had our usual Christmas breakfast, which is Dan's homemade french toast with fruit and bacon. After that we hit the road to head to NC to be with the Bliss family for Christmas #3. What a tough life!

Waiting for Santa!

After church we came and enjoyed a dinner of appetizers while we watched Home Alone. It was the first time the kids had seen it and it was a hit for them! They laughed out loud quite a bit. We put our cookies out for Santa and they were in bed asleep by 9pm.
Time for appetizers and a movie!
Santa's cookies!
Sean left his "hermie" out as a lookout for Santa. He found that box and made it all after we put him to bed. Cutest.thing.ever.

Christmas Eve Service

The kids practiced for weeks at Sunday school for the big Christmas Eve program and they did not disappoint. They were so cute and did such a great job!

Sean was a shepherd

Carter was an angel

Maggianos Dinner

We switched up our schedule this Christmas and decided to stay home for Christmas Eve and attend our own church service. We also we home on Christmas morning. This meant we did our Maggianos dinner on the 23rd. We weren't able to go on the walking tacky light tour as it was pouring and thundering/lightning. We did a couple drive byes of the usual houses but we weren't able to get out and take any pictures. Our dinner was delicious!
