Easter part 2

While my family was here for the weekend, we celerbated Easter again. My mom likes to see her grown kids run around like kids and collect Easter Eggs. The easiest way to get us to do that?? Put money in the eggs!

We were able to break in the new back yard and then sit down and count up how much money to found! (We like the candy as well)

Yes, Easter Dress and tennis shoes. . . .

We all have a special egg that we trade in for our special Easter gift. (Only Nama!)

Looking for the cash!

First family dinner!

We moved in before disney and then went to disney for 10 days and then 1 day to unpack it all beofre going back to school. We got as much done as we could but thankfully Nama, Poppy and Auntie came up for the following weekend to help finish. We had a nice Taco Bar dinner on Saturday night to break in the new kitchen. We love our new huge island and the eat in kitchen has room for everyone! This is the first of many big family dinners at this house!

Spring Carnival and new bangs. . .

We were all excited to attend Sean's school spring carnival afterschool. I was not excited when I found out that Carter had given herself new bangs at school that day. Luckily, we were still able to have fun, but man was I mad at her! Her hair is so pretty and she took huge chunks out of the front part. Good thing her hair grows fast!

Disney Trip-Spring Break 2015

Whoa. What a trip! Our Disney trip exceeded all expectations we had! I knew it would be fun, but I had no idea how much fun it could really be. I won't bore you with all the details because I could write about it for pages, but I will choose a few of my favorite pics to share from the week. I did take about 1200 photos so narrowing it down is tough!

We stayed on Disney property at Port Orleans Riverside. We checked in on Saturday and left on Saturday. We visited, in this order, Epcott, Universal Studios, Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and then Magic Kingdom again. I personally liked Epcott and Hollywood studios the best for the rides, Magic Kingdom was super cool for the expereinces and meeting the princesses and characters. Oh and eating at the Beast/Belle's Castle...that was pretty awesome!

Ok, I said I wouldn't go on and on, so I won't. If anyone wants to see my 70 page photo book--just let me know! :o)

Our new house!

When we pulled in from our LONG drive home from Disney-we were pulling into a new driveway and sleeping in a new house! Prior to leaving, we set up our beds (that was all!) which allowed us to come straight in and go to sleep. We had actually lived at disney world longer than our new house! Waking up on Sunday morning was super exciting getting to unpack and get settled into our new house! What a lot of work we had ahead! Dan was doing repairs around the house and I unpacked all day so the house was livable for now.

Time to say goodbye...

It is a long story but I feel I should document it so it 10 years, we'll actually remember what happened. The closing on our house was scheduled for April 1st at 8:00 am. After that, we were renting back from the new owenrs until Friday at 2pm. We were scheduled to leave for disney world around that time and knew we'd have enough time to get settled. Our new house closing was scheduled at 4pm so we had planned to start moving stuff that evening, all day Thursday, and Dan could finish up on Friday while I returned to work. Well, none of that happened. Except, we sold our old house and continued to live in it for a couple days with no stuff in it. The bank messed up some papers and got super behind so they weren' table to process our loan and be ready for closing as promised. After lots of stress and some seirously nasty phone calls made to the lendor, we finally got word we could in fact close on Friday morning around 8 am. The closing was scheduled for 12:00 pm that day. We literally signed the papers dropped our stuff and hit the road for disney. Since we were arllowed to move stuff into the new house garage prior to actually closing, we were able to get all of our stuff out of the old house, barely, in time. It was to say the least quite a stressful few days. In fact, we were so tired that both of us were excited to drive to disney and sit in the car for 9 hours! Thankfully, we had one day of down time before things got crazy again at disney.

Looking back it doesn't seem so bad, but I am glad that we should not even need to move again!

Saying goodbye to the old house was hard. Especially for Sean. He isn't in the pictures really because he was crying and so upset when he said bye to his room. I shed some tears as I drove away that last time. That house held 9 years of memories for us. It was our first house and we'll always remember it! Our kids came home to that house for the first time, we renovated and update ever room in that house to meet our specific needs. It had everything we wanted and needed but space. We just needed more space and the new house offers that. It'll take time for the new house to feel like home, but we have our whole life to make it our own!
