Halloween

This year for Halloween we had Princess Carter (sometimes she referred to herself as "cindabella") and Mike Wasowski the one eyed monster from the Monsters Inc. movies. (oh and we cannot forget Daddy as "less attractive Rob Lowe" or aka creepy Dan ha ha) We had a neighborhood get together with pizza and s'mores before we all headed out to trick or treat. It got dark fast and it was hard keeping up with them! Sean was running from door to door with all his friends and Carter lagged behind a bit. We left some candy at our door so that we could both join the kids. After a while though Carter got tired so the girls headed home. She loved handing out candy to other kids. The boys finally made it back and the kids dumped all their candy out to see what they had gotten. It was a great Halloween for all.

We got lots of compliments on our super cool pumpkins! Good job Daddy!

Harvest Festival at Church

The kids had a good morning hanging out after church at the Harvest Festival. Lunch, games, prizes, and TRUNK or treating. What fun!

Carter got layers!

No, I didn't schedule any appointment for her at the hair salon, she took it upon herself to give cut her own hair! Eeek! She got a couple pieces around her face and cut them! I am thankful that it doesn't actually look that bad because it just looks like layers. But still!! That girl! We learned that she cannot be trusted with scissors in the playroom. We also learned that she cannot be trusted with markers either. . . .

Cubscout trip to the fire station

Sean had just been the exact firestation a month or so ago since a friend of Dan's works there, but he enjoyed his second trip with his cubscout troop!

Fun at Nama and Poppy's house

As usual we had fun visiting Nama and Poppy's house. Dan, Sean and Poppy went to the Wake Forest vs. Syracuse football game on Saturday and the girls went shopping. We had a nice dinner out to celebrate Nama's bday (early) and hit up the playground on Sunday.  Nama even dug out my old barbies for Carter to play with. Talk about a blast from the past!! The kids were sad to leave Nama's house, like always!

Auntie and Kevin came to town!

We were so excited to have Auntie and Kevin come visit. Kevin had never been here before and even though he is recovering from knee surgery we were able to get out of have a little fun! Jenn had lots of photo shoots to do, including ours, but on Saturday we had time to visit a local brewery. We sat outside at Center of the Universe in the nice weather and tasted a few of the beers. The kids colored and played cornhole while we hung out. It was a great day. On Sunday, we did our family photo shoot with Jenn and can't wait to see more of the pictures!
