Lake Anna Family Week

So, in a few years when I am reading this it is totally going to seem like all we did was vacation during the summer of 2017 and to be honest, it kind was like that. It was awesome, onto our third full week of vacation, we ventured not too far away to Lake Anna for the week with the WHOLE Rettig Family. This time Anna/Drew and the newest additions were able to make it. Plus, we got a bonus and Aunt Suzy and Uncle Terry and Aunt JoAnn were able to come as well. It was awesome to get to be together with everyone and awesome to have a house big enough with an amazing view of the lake to fit us all in! We did all the fun lake stuff, swim, fish, kayak, paddle board, tube, and cruise around in the boat. We enjoyed the super warm water of lake Anna. Sean loved tooling around all over in his own kayak, and we ventured across the cove at least once a day to jump off the infamous rocks. They got their fair share of rides on the tubes pulled behind the boat as well. It was an amazing week of lake fun!

Carolina Beach Week

We decided we wanted to take a vacation just the four of us this summer, which is something that we have never done. We found a small condo on the oceanfront in Carolina Beach and booked it for the week. We had a great time! The weather was less than perfect, in fact it rained almost everyday but that didn't stop us from having an awesome vacation! I grew up vacationing at Carolina beach so it feels alot like home to me and there is a lot of little touristy stuff to do there to keep you busy. We visited the aquarium, the arcade, the boardwalk, went out to dinner, saw fireworks, walked to the pier several times and met some really nice families that were staying close by we hung out with for the week. It was a huge success! I think it'll become a yearly tradition!
