We are vacationing at Carolina Beach, NC with my parents and sister for the week. Sean loved the beach last year and does again this year. He loves the sand and has even ventured into the water several times already. He really likes it when you bury him in sand, even all the way up to his head.

Stir Fry-YUM!
As I child I was very picky and I am still a little picky as an adult. We are hoping that Sean doesn't follow in my footsteps although he probably will. He does like Japanese stir fry. He ate several pieces of chicken, veggies, and the fried rice! He usually doesn't eat chicken so we were happy that he ate so well!

First time at the movies...
We took Sean to see Toy Story 3 today and we all had a blast. Seeing Sean's face when the movie came on was priceless. He got a little restless for about 2 minutes in the middle of the movie but then he was fine. He was so excited to be eating popcorn. I think that was more fun for him than actually watching the movie. It was a great first experience and a cute movie!
Out to lunch
Dan, Sean, and I went to the mall yesterday to do some shopping and let Sean play. He loves to throw pennies into the fountain. We decided to grab lunch at California Pizza Kitchen. We ordered Sean the kids fruit plate and he ate every single piece of fruit on the plate, which was surprising because usually he doesn't eat that well when we go out eat. Then I gave him some of my pizza and he just eating and eating. I looked at him and said, "you are eating so much Sean where is all this food going?" and he looked back at me and said, "my mouth!". ha ha ha Duh mommy!
Friday, June 11th A visit from family.
I am a little behind on my blog posts but I plan to be more on top of it now that school is almost out for summer. I have two days until I can begin my official summer break. Yay!
Derrick, Kristina, Landon, and Baylee Francis visited us last Friday for the afternoon/evening. Derrick is my first cousin on my mom's side. Landon and Sean are both really shy but they finally warmed up to each other. Baylee was just such an angel and went with the flow the whole night. Derrick really wanted to go to a Japanese steak house so we gave it a try, which made me nervous with 3 kids under the age of 3. The kids did great and the food was delicious. When we got home, the boys played out back and then came inside to play. The time got away from us because we looked at the clock and it was 9:30. Sean was exhausted but had so much fun. It was great to get to see them and the kids had a blast!

Two minutes.....
Sean must have heard me say, "two minutes" several times because now he repeats it back to me. Yesterday he asked me to play with him and I was in the middle of doing something. I said hold on just a minute, and he looked at me and said, "two minutes, mommy?".

Busy couple of weeks!
I haven't been as good about updating lately because things at school are crazy and it seems like we have something going on every weekend. I'll do a quick update with a few pictures. We had our annual memorial party a week ago and Alison's wedding shower all in the same week. The shower was fun and Sean enjoyed the cake as usual! The party here was HOT and Sean and all of his buddies enjoyed the slip n slide, baby pool, and playset. He ended up staying up until 9 pm and was great the whole time. He slept in a little that next day which Dan and I appreciated. We also took him to Short pump somewhere in there to ride the train which he also loves, as you can tell from the expressions on his face. This weekend Dan and I went to northern va for a wedding of good friends from JMU. We had some good old fashion JMU fun while Nana and Poppi spent the night with Sean here in Richmond. We officially have 9.5 days left until school is out, and yes we are even down to counting the half days! Once summer hits we have lots of great vacations to look forward to. But, most of all Dan and I look forward to being with Sean all day everyday together as a family!Sean got the first slice of the wedding shower cake!

The pool!
Sean and I have been playing at the pool quite often. Our pool has a huge baby pool that varies in depth. Last year, when we would go to the pool Sean was always so nervous and would never walk away from the edge of the baby pool without my hand. This year, he got right in and started playing. He even likes to walk around where it is deep (up to chin!). One day, he put his hands on the bottom and pulled himself around while he kicked his feet. It counted as his first attempt to "swim"! I was a proud mommy! When we went to the big pool he was jumping in from the side as well. I am sure as summer progresses he'll become braver and braver at the pool.
