Time to decorate!

The kids love to decorate the house and the tree. They pull out each ornament and examine it and choose it as their favorite (about 5 times each!) They were also excited to put their Christmas PJ's on as well. They look so cute! Silly the Elf will be coming to visit for the first time tonight!

While the littles were sleeping the big kids went to play at the local playground. 

Thanksgiving in Cville

 One thing you can be sure of when you visit Nana and Poppi in Charlottesville--you'll be outside! The kids love going on walks to visit the cows and being outside. We brought our old wagon for them to have and the little cousins loved their new ride!

Pre-K Thanksgiving Program

 Carter did a great job as a pilgrim in her Thanksgiving Program at school!

Since birth I have said goodnight to Sean, sang him songs, said prayers, snuggled and walked away. He has never once gotten out of his bed to ask for water or call my name or need something. This is the exact opposite of Carter. Every.single.night she is difficult to put to bed. She never stays in her room, she is always up late reading, and she is constantly calling my name after I have put her to bed. A lot of nights she is up after I am! We followed the same process as with Sean but clearly she just is a different kid! Most recently, she must have been jumping or messing around on her bed  and she knocked off a letter from her name.. She came downstairs and we said to put it back and go to sleep. Wait....another 10 minutes go by and she comes back downstairs hysterically about the letter T which has fallen off her wall and gone behind her bed. She desperately needs Daddy to get that letter and put it back on the wall. Dan and I both respond the same--just wait til tomorrow and someone will find the letter and put it back on. This puts her into even bigger hysterics, she says, "But then I will just be C A R E R without the T" Oh lord. Dan and I burst out in laughter at her dramatic response and then Dan proceeds to go find the T and hang it back up for her. We would hate for her to be "CAR ER" for a night. That T is important. . .

Fall Pictures 2015

Auntie wasn't available for Fall Photos this year so I did my own! Our friends met us at the park and we took each other's family pics and then I took the kids pics myself. I am pretty happy with how they turned out. There are not quite Follow Your Bliss originals but they work for this year!

2nd Grade Veteran's Day Program

Sean's grade performed at the PTA meeting this month. They did a great job honoring our Veterans!

Mommy turns 35

I had an action packed birthday. It started off REAL early when I ran the Richmond 8K downtown. It was the perfect start to my birthday. When I returned home, this wonderful breakfast was waiting for me! (Thank you Kevin!). I was able to squeeze in Sean's soccer game and a nice long nap before heading out with Jenn/Kevin/Dan to meet our friends for drinks at a local brewery. Our last stop was a super fancy Italian restaurant where we were able to have a nice long and delicious meal together. What a day!
