In mid-December the JMU dukes earned a spot in the National Championship football game. There was quick talk of a trip to Texas to support our team, but it seemed so far fetched for Dan and I. After we talked it over we realized missing the chance to be there was silly. We decided to go for it. There were about 25 of us total in our group, coming from Va and South Carolina. Nama and Poppy came up to Richmond to take care of the kids while Dan and I jetted off to Dallas, Texas for the weekend. To sum it up in just a few words: it was amazing! Despite the rather odd cold front that hit Texas, we just had the most fun reuniting with our college friends and cheering for our alma mater.
