Sensitive guy....
I was having a bad allergy attack the other night and since Dan was out of town I was just suffering through until Sean went to bed and I could pass out in a benadryl coma. Anyway, the first cute thing Sean did was copy me. When I sneezed, he would fake sneeze as well. He also says, "bless you, mommy". After an hour or so of me being sneezing and sniffling, Sean comes over to me and says, "mommy no feel good, lay down mommy". I thought it was adorable. Now if he sees you rubbing your eyes or something he'll say, "ut's (what's) wrong, mommy?". I guess he is very observant and caring to notice! What a sensitive guy! :o)

Potty training....
So, we attempted to potty train Sean. And, when I say "attempted" I mean we didn't make it very far! We did, however, get some good laughs when he tried to put 10 pairs of underpants on. It was a good first try and we'll keep working. I am just not sure he is quite ready just yet. Maybe it is me and Dan that need to be "trained"....

Mommy's Biggest Fan!
I raced a sprint triathlon this morning and Sean and Dan came to the race to support me. (along with some other good friends!) Luckily, they are able to see me several times when I come out of the water and to my bike and in and out on the bike and then the run as well. In the downtime, Sean played on the playground and ran around while waiting for me to finish. I had a great race and took off significant amount of time. I was happy with my performance!
Just out of the pool, heading to the transition area to jump on the bike!

Pool Day with Gracyn
Sean and I have been going to the pool quite frequently this summer. He really enjoys "swimming" and playing in the water. Lindsey and Gracyn joined us this day and the kids had a blast. Here are a few pictures from their pool day. Oh, also you probably notice he got a hair cut! Chopped it off for his "summer" look! Now it just stands straight on its end most of the time. There is no hope for that cowlick!!

"stumped it"
Sean just stubbed his toe and came over to me so that I could "friss it" (kiss it). I said, "what happened?", he said, "me stumped toe". ha ha ha

"me no like dance"
Dan and I turned on some music last night to encourage Sean to dance a little. We told him he needed practice for Alison's wedding (Dan's sister) in a few weeks. He is so shy, even around us. Finally, he gave in starting shaking his bottom and then did a spin and immediately got embarrassed and ran into my arms. We kept encouraging him to dance and he kept saying, "me no like dance". ha ha

"Me scared"
Sean has been very verbal lately about the things he is scared of. A couple months ago there was a huge thunderstorm that came through and he got nervous and sat on my lap for about an hour during and after the storm. Accidentally, during a loud clap of thunder I was startled and he jumped because he sensed that I was scared. Well...ever since then he has been scared of thunders storms. We haven't had a lot lately (unfortunately because we need the rain) but on Thursday he was woken up by thunder during his nap. When I went in there to get him he said, "mommy, me scared!". Then later on after the rain stopped the sun came out and he said, "mommy me no scared, rain go away". So for some reason he now associates rain with thunder and therefore being scared. Today, we asked him about the fireworks last week and he said, "me too scared!'. Then, we went outside to play and Dan had the sprinkler on and he said, "me scared, rain". So, he is now scared of.....everything! ha ha I am sure it is a phase that will pass and I will be sure not to jump anymore during thunderstorms! Oops.

Fun week at the beach!
We just returned from our week at Carolina Beach. We all had a lot of fun. Sean loved playing on the beach and even went in the water a few times. We visited the aquarium and the boardwalk. He loved seeing "nemo" at the aquarium and he even rode a children's ride all by himself at the boardwalk. The whole way home he was saying, "back again, beach?". He will miss his 'Nama, Poppy, and Auntie.
