Loving the warm weather

We have had a few chilly days but overall the fall has been pretty warm. We took advantage of the nice weather today and walked over to the park. Dan did a quick run while Sean and I played.

Whew...what a weekend!

Saturday during the day we did some errands and hung around the house waiting for Poppy, 'Nama, and Auntie's arrival. Saturday night we headed downtown for the big celebration at a local bar. Sean stayed home with 'Nama and Poppy and took full advantage of being spoiled! The party that Dan threw me was a huge success and everyone that came had a great time!

A swimmer?

Sean's music class

Sean's school provides music class to the kids 3 times a week. He looked like he was having a blast during today's lesson. His school sends me pictures periodically of him during the day. We love getting to see what he is up to at school!

Cheeeeesseee!Playing the drums with two classmates.

Lime juice, anyone?

Dan, Sean, and I went to the grocery store on Sunday after church. We hadn't been in a while so it was a pretty full cart. To understand what happened, you should know Sean no longer rides in the cart. He either walks with us or rides in kids cart with the car in the front of the cart. He often gets in and out as we move through the store. In the produce section I noticed there was a green container or lime juice in the cart. I asked Dan what he needed it for and he said for his dinner (he makes dinner on Monday nights) He actually wasn't paying attention and thought I asked him why he was getting mushrooms as that was what he had in his hand. So, anyway, we go through the check out line and I think nothing of it as I assumed Dan needed the lime juice. I get home and we are unpacking and Dan says, "why did you buy this?" pointing to the lime juice. And I said, "Dan, I asked you why YOU bought it and you said you needed it for dinner!" I am a little frustrated at this point wondering how in the world we have this item that neither of us seemed to pick up. At that point, Sean chimes in, "Sean did it, I put it in the cart". We both look at him and burst out laughing. If Sean hadn't admitted to it we might have argued about it longer. Thank goodness he told us! ha ha ha

Helping Daddy with the yard work.

Picking up twigs/branches from the storm that knocked down a branch in our yard.
Mowing, the grass...well what used to be grass.

A Saturday night with friends

We got together with our group of friends to celebrate Lindsey's birthday. The kids enjoyed themselves quite a bit! Here are a few pics of the night.
Being silly with Gracyn and Ryann.
Dinner time at the kids table!

My hair is crazy!

Yesterday, I told Sean that I was going to get my hair cut. He said, "I need a haircut too". I said, "well, I think your hair is ok for now". End of story. Now, this morning I am on my way out the door and Dan says, "Mommy is going to get her hair cut", before I could motion to Dan to not bring it up. So, then Sean says as he runs towards the door to come with me, "I need to get my hair cut too", and Dan says, "oh yeah?", and he says, "yeah, my hair is crazy!". ha ha ha

From "me" to "I"

Sean has always been very verbal child and so he is always learning new words and improving his vocabulary each day. Until recently, he started all sentences with "me" instead of "I". Recently, he has made the switch to "I am awake" or "I want a fork". He just is growing up so fast and because he can communicate so well he often seems older
than he is! The other day he was frustrated at Dan and said this exactly word for word "stop doing that right now, Daddy" Geez! Are you 2, or 15? Plus, he often calls me "mom" instead of "mommy". I'll take either but I prefer to keep him in the little kid phase as long as possible!
