Dan and I were excited to give a local food festival a try (Broad Appetite). We've heard good things about it so we loaded up the kids after nap (we did have to wake them up!) and headed downtown. We realized that we rarely venture down there and the kids have no experience with that area of Richmond. We wer excited to try some new foods, listen to music and experience the festival. Well, we had two grumpy kids with us and so it didn't go as planned. Sean was coming off a horrible stomach bug on Saturday and I woke him up out of a dead sleep. He hasn't taken a nap in over a year so he obviously was tired. Carter was also grumpy though enjoyed the food more than he did. Dan and I got a couple small plates of great food in but it was hard to juggle holding his hand/pushing the stroller with eating this delicious food. It was not a successful afternoon but it was worth a try! Maybe next time?
