Time to say goodbye...

It is a long story but I feel I should document it so it 10 years, we'll actually remember what happened. The closing on our house was scheduled for April 1st at 8:00 am. After that, we were renting back from the new owenrs until Friday at 2pm. We were scheduled to leave for disney world around that time and knew we'd have enough time to get settled. Our new house closing was scheduled at 4pm so we had planned to start moving stuff that evening, all day Thursday, and Dan could finish up on Friday while I returned to work. Well, none of that happened. Except, we sold our old house and continued to live in it for a couple days with no stuff in it. The bank messed up some papers and got super behind so they weren' table to process our loan and be ready for closing as promised. After lots of stress and some seirously nasty phone calls made to the lendor, we finally got word we could in fact close on Friday morning around 8 am. The closing was scheduled for 12:00 pm that day. We literally signed the papers dropped our stuff and hit the road for disney. Since we were arllowed to move stuff into the new house garage prior to actually closing, we were able to get all of our stuff out of the old house, barely, in time. It was to say the least quite a stressful few days. In fact, we were so tired that both of us were excited to drive to disney and sit in the car for 9 hours! Thankfully, we had one day of down time before things got crazy again at disney.

Looking back it doesn't seem so bad, but I am glad that we should not even need to move again!

Saying goodbye to the old house was hard. Especially for Sean. He isn't in the pictures really because he was crying and so upset when he said bye to his room. I shed some tears as I drove away that last time. That house held 9 years of memories for us. It was our first house and we'll always remember it! Our kids came home to that house for the first time, we renovated and update ever room in that house to meet our specific needs. It had everything we wanted and needed but space. We just needed more space and the new house offers that. It'll take time for the new house to feel like home, but we have our whole life to make it our own!
