Mr. Chatty
In the past few weeks Sean's vocabulary has really grown quite a bit. He has been stringing 3 words together to form a sentence quite regularly. For example, in the bathtub he'll say, "no, mommy, stay", when he wants to stay and I ask him to get out. He also has shown great manners by consistently saying, "thank you, mommy", or, "thank you, daddy". This weekend, Dan left and came back and Sean ran over there to him and grabbed his leg saying, "daddy, miss". It was really cute and Dad appreciated Sean telling him that. Last night I was reading him a story (Dr. Suess seems to be the favorite these days) and the picture showed a horse. He immediately said, "neigh". I then said, "but what is it?", and he said, "horse". Then I asked him what the horse was eating and he said, "grass". I didn't even know he knew what grass was! It is little things like that that surprise us from time to time. Sean is working on always using "nice words" with everyone and he is really learning from our reminders. He seems to be responding to discipline better these days as well. He patiently waits in time out until it is time for him to come out. He really only sits there for about 30 seconds, but then often he'll come over and say, "sorry, mommy/daddy". So, I am glad he is learning! I have been slacking with the pictures. More to come soon!
