Aunt Al got married!
Sean attended his first wedding on Friday, July 30th. His Aunt Alison got married and Sean loved every minute of it. Since Dan and I were both in the wedding, Sean sat with 'Nama at the church (well for part of the ceremony). Since it was a bit long and all the new toys I bought him only kept him occupied for a few minutes, 'Nama took him to another room for the rest of the ceremony. I remember standing up in front of the church thinking, "wow, Sean is being really quiet!". Oh, right, because he wasn't in there anymore! Anyway, on to the reception where Dan and I were announced as a family. We "danced" our way into the reception, sunglasses and all. We marched, shook our bottoms, raised the roof, and spun around. We cannot believe he did the "routine" that we rehearsed. The crowd loved us! Then, after dinner (he sat the table with us for almost an hour) he handed out 20 silly bands to his new found friends at all the of tables. He wasn't a huge fan of dancing, unless someone was holding him. He did enjoy his Daddy and Aunt's singing "Parents Just Don't Understand" to the entire crowd, mic and all. The family was astounded to see Sean still smiling at 11 pm while he blew bubbles for his Aunt Al and new Uncle Dave! By the time we got back to the hotel and got him tucked into bed, it was midnight! He didn't cry once all day and had nothing but a smile on his face even at 11:30pm while he greeted family members walking through the hotel. Whew, it was quite a memorable day. We are so proud of him for being such a trooper and lasting all day/night. Are you wondering how late he slept the next day....yeah right, it was 6:50 am!
