He is 32 lbs and 39.25 inches. He is on the low side for percentiles (25%) but he did grow 4 inches in a year which is above average. His vision, motor skills, and social skills are right on track. Sean is on the sensitive side but that gives him such a great personality. He cares so much about other people and especially his sister. I don't know if you all notice but in many pictures, he is doing something to "protect" his sister. He'll put his hand out to grab her, or hold her back, if he sees her about to eat something off the floor she shouldn't he runs to grab it. He is just very conscientious
and loving towards her. Of course, she gets on his nerves like any little sis would but overall, he is so loving and caring towards her (even when she hits him--she is a fiesty girl!). He has been doing wonderful at school and hasn't had a bad report for behavior in months. I cannot even remember the last time he got in trouble at school. At home...well he has his moments but for the most part his behavior is great. He loves being a helper. He helped me clean up the kitchen last night and even swept the floor. He'll have about two more weeks of school and then be home with us for the summer where we'll spend our days on vacation and the pool. He'll start swim lessons after his school is out in a few weeks. He knows almost all of his letters and sounds and we are working on numbers and reading a few short words. He is such a smart guy and we are so proud of him!

Our Sweet Sean
Sean had his 4 year old appointment today and did great! He was such a great listener (though very shy) during the whole appointment. He really likes his Dr. and when he pretends to be a Dr. with his Dr. kit, he pretends to be Dr. Dawson, which is really cute. Carter had a little trouble during his appointment but some yogurt melts kept her occupied. She doesn't like to be contained and there was no way I was letting her crawl all over the floor in the exam room, yuck! So, though she had some yogurt melts in her hair, we all survived and Sean didn't even need to get a shot!

Pool Day!
It was our first official pool day of the season and it was a success!
We weren't sure what to expect with Carter. We know she loves the bath
but during spring break when we went swimming in the hotel's indoor pool
she wasn't a big fan of the pool. The baby pool was a little chilly
today but she loved it anyway! She was so happy to be in the float just
walking around the pool all by herself (of course we stayed close). She
even walked around so much she rubbed little blisters on her feet from
the bottom of the pool. Sean also enjoyed being back at our pool and was
happy to see some of his favorite toys from last year were still there.
Dan and Sean enjoyed a good amount of time in the big pool playing with
one of his classmates from school and her family. All of the people we
know from our neighborhood go to our pool so it was good to see
everyone. I am sure they'll be many more pool days to come!
Love her cute little swim suit!
Happy to be back at the pool!
She was just happy to walk around all by herself
And try to steal toys from Sean, ha ha
She even loved to splash herself!
A fun day!

The mall, train, and ice cream
We headed to short pump mall tonight for some outside fun. There is a
lot to do at the mall (besides shop) so Sean always enjoys going there.
He jumped the rocks near the coy pond, threw money into the fountain,
rode the train, played in the toy store, ate dinner and had ice cream.
This was Carter's first train ride and first taste of ice cream. Before I
could find them after I paid for the ice cream Dan was already spooning
it into her mouth! She, obviously, loved it and cried for more. Oh
geez. I am pretty sure Sean didn't have ice cream until he was well over
a year.

Carter's Baptism
It was a busy weekend for us. Saturday was Sean's birthday party and Sunday was Carter's baptism. She did great! I was worried that she would cry during the actual baptism but she was fine and even let the pastor hold her and walk her around the church. She even was quiet during the whole church service, though I have to say it might be because Nana was holder and Nama was feeding. Two grama's + snacks + church = a quiet Carter. Afterwards we came back to our house for a nice brunch. It was a great day for the family!
Love them!
Just the four of us
Loves Nama!

Carter + Guacamole
After the busy day of birthday fun we headed to Plaza Azteca for dinner.
We ordered some freshly made quacamole to eat with our chips. After the
first taste we realized it was not spicy enough so we added some more
jalepenos to spice it up a bit. We had a great dinner and Carter (as
usual) ate anything we put in front of her including mexican rice and
some burrito cut into small pieces. That girl can eat. She just shovels
it in as soon as you put something on her tray. After she was all done
and we shook out the plate full of rice that she was wearing she sat on
Auntie's lap. Before anyone even noticed she had stuck her whole hand
into the guacamole bowl grabbing a huge hand full and ate it. Yikes! She
was not happy and cried and cried. We aren't sure if she got a spicy
bite or not but it was hilarious. She is so fast with her grabby hands!

Look at those eyes!
This girl loves to eat!
YUM!
After dinner we hung out in the backyard playing on the swingset. Carter and Sean both love to swing.
Sean's 4th Birthday Party. . .
was a huge success! It was a wonderful party and all of the kids had a
blast. Not knowing much about Young Chef's academy it was a risk for us
to book the party there but it did not disappoint. It was a well
organized, fun, hands on party. The kids made their own chef hats,
scooped in the flour, measured oil and salt, kneaded their green monster
pizza dough, flattened it out, put toppings on it, decorated an alien
jello jiggler, and ate pizza and cupcakes. It was the perfect party for
Sean as he loves to be a helper in the kitchen!
Excited for his party, wearing his new apron that Daddy made.
