We started going to Welborne Methodist 8 years ago after we visited one Sunday. We were in the market for a church and wanted to find the right place for us. We knew it was Welborne after meeting Pastor John. He was kind, warm, so down to earth and funny. We enjoyed his sermons each week. He went on to marry us, help us welcome our two children into the world, and baptise them both. Since then, several of our close friends have also joined the church, largely due to John. Sadly, he is now retiring and Sunday was his last week with us. We are really sad to see him go! Since he lives right around the corner from us we hope we'll be bumping into him around Richmond.
