We made it!

Well the end to summer was official on Wednesday, though it was delayed by two days due to the hurricane and the massive power outages in the county. Dan, Sean, and I all went back to school and made it through our first week. Sean went back to the class he was in last year and will start his new 3 year old class on Tuesday for an official first day of school. He is very excited about having his new teacher. Because his school is so small all of the teachers know all of the kids and the other way around. So, when he found out who his teacher was, he was instantly happy. He seemed to be so sad each day when I left in the a.m. for work but Dan said he sprinted into school each morning excited and did not shed a single tear during drop off! The staff commented on how happy he is at school and how much fun he seemed to be having all week. I am glad that transition was easy for him. He'll only be attending for part of the day when I am on maternity leave but at least he'll get a chance to get the "school" part of the day in and play with his friends. They received graduation certificates to signal the end of summer camp and the beginning of the school year.
