Food!
We tried rice cereal a week or so ago and it didn't go over so well with Carter. For one, she made the most horrible face (I would too if I had to eat that stuff!) and two she pushed it all out of her mouth. It seemed like she wasn't ready for solids yet. So, we waited and tried again. This time we just went straight to the good stuff, fruit and vegetables. The first food she ate successfully and seemed to enjoy was bananas. Then we moved on to other foods like carrots, peaches, pears, and sweet potatoes. I'd have to say her two favorites were carrots and pears. She ate the whole container of those foods. She is really starting to understand about eating and dinner time. In fact, once we put her in her seat while we eat she starts to get impatient if she has to wait too long before she can eat too. She seems to be really enjoying getting to try new things. The one food she didn't really like was peaches and it was because of the tart taste. The faces she makes are hilarious! We are going to continue to use sign language with her and have now added "more" and "all done" to our signs. She is doing a great job with "milk" so I know she'll catch on quickly.
Giving it a try. . .
I like it!
Excited to see the spoon!
YUM!
