Easter, started with a great breakfast and ended with a great dinner!

Whew, what an Easter! Lets just say that Easter Eve wasn't so pleasant. Carter woke up on Friday with a horrible head cold, and the on Saturday woke up with a crusty eye. Her babysitter had warned me that another child had come down with pink eye, so we felt it was inevitable and headed straight to the Dr. By the afternoon it was full on pink eye and her snottiness was non stop. Sean, Dan, and I also felt the beginnings of a cold coming on. So, Easter eve was not a great night. Poor Auntie showed up to a house full of sickies! Carter has been sleeping in our room in the pack and play since she is sick and so I put her down at 8pm on Sat night. She wanted nothing to do with going to sleep and just kept clawing at her eyes. Poor baby! By 10:30/11:00 pm she was finally asleep in OUR bed. It was a rough night of on and off crying and her just being 100% miserable. Since birth she has never had a night like that (I know she was super easy!). Then, to make matters worse we have another friend join us at 3am in our bed because "his leg hurts" Who knows but he was crying hysterically and so Dan went to Carter's room to get him back to sleep on the air mattress and then he fell asleep in there. So, Carter and I were in our bed and Dan and Sean were on the kids air mattress in Carter's room. At least Auntie was sleeping comfortably in Sean's room. Whew. What a night.

Thankfully, Easter was not a disaster! We obviously we not able to go to church but woke up to see what the Easter bunny had brought, had a great breakfast thanks to Dan, and did a egg hunt in the backyard. Then we had a lazy day and played outside and inside, took some naps, and had another great meal--thanks to Dan (am I being phased out completely? Wouldn't that be nice!). Then, we headed outside so that Sean could run off some of that sugar he consumed today. Thank goodness our Easter turned out perfect despite the night before! Carter's eye is getting better slowly and her mood is improving. She went right to sleep tonight in her own bed and we hope that she will back to normal tomorrow. We do have family pictures to do! Not the best timing for family sickness, especially since Nama and Poppy were supposed to come visit and were not able to because we are so germy! Here is hoping to all of us getting better soon!
