My parents were not able to visit last week due to some serious germs
floating around the Rettig house. Though Carter still has a runny nose,
her pediatrician assured me that she wouldn't be contagious this many
days into her cold so my mom and dad headed our way on Friday. Shortly
after returning from VB we welcomed Nama and Poppy to our house. Sean
was elated to see them! He greeted them at the driveway as soon as he
saw them pull up. (was it perhaps because he knows Nama=presents? LOL) Today was pretty low key but because the weather was
so nice we were able to spend a good amount of time outside. Sean got to
play with his new tee ball set and Carter was able to play on her new rocking elephant which she absolutely loves. After a delicious dinner Nama and Poppy took a walk through
the neighborhood with Sean, on his scooter, and Carter in her stroller.
It is so great to see them and it keeping Nama's mind off of her final
hard core chemo treatment on Monday which is the perfect medicine for
her. Glad to have one more day to spend together.
