It was our last day on our mini vacation so after we checked out of our
hotel we headed to Norfolk to visit the local Zoo. Sean was super sad to
be leaving the beach and the hotel. Not sure why, but he really liked
staying in the hotel. Luckily, it was a suite so the kids had their own
room and we had our own room so it worked nicely for a few days. We
weren't sure what to expect, not knowing much about the Zoo in Norfolk
but we were pleasantly surprised. It was very nice and had a lot of
animals that we don't have at the Richmond Zoo, like elephants and a lot
of reptiles. Sean was obsessed with using the map to tell us where to
go next and what animal was coming up next. It was a great day and fun
was had by all, even Carter who managed to stay awake the entire time. I
don't think we were much out of the parking lot before she was fast
asleep on the way home, and then a few minutes later Sean was sound
asleep as well. We hit a little bit of traffic getting home so it took
longer than expected. Other than that, our vacation was perfect and we
all had a great time!
Very interested in the snakes!
Sean and his map!
So excited!
Goofballs!
